Barbara Manville Obituary
Barbara was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Edwin Sylvia Sr. and Clara (Broadbent). She was a 1965 graduate of Montville High School. She married her loving husband, Edmund Manville, July 14, 1973, at St. Johns Church in Uncasville.
She had been employed with the State of CT department of human services for 31 years. She was a fun loving woman who was known for her bubbly personality.
In addition to her husband, Edmund, Barbara is survived by her stepsister, Jeannette Nixie and her husband, Alfred; and by her two cousins, Sandra and Clara.
The family would especially like to thank Laura and Karen in the Backus Hospital CCU for all of their care and support.
A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen. A calling hour will be held one hour prior, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Montville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mohegan Fire Department, Backus Hospital or to the Orchard Grove Patient Fund.
