He was born on June 19, 1977 in New London, the son of Karl L. and Karen Kreamer Parks of East Lyme.
Brian was a 1996 graduate of East Lyme High School and had attended the University of Vermont. Following his love of the water and boats, he graduated from The Landing School of Wooden Boatbuilding and Design in Arundel, Maine.
Brian had worked for several years as a finish boat carpenter at the Pilot's Point Marina in Westbrook.
He will always be remembered as good natured, and a true friend to all who knew him.
Besides his parents, Brian is survived by two brothers and a sister-in law, Stephen L. and Kelly L. Parks of Perth, Australia, and Robert F. Parks of Arlington, Va.; his maternal grandparents, Donald and Marion Kreamer of Lafayette, Pa., and his paternal grandmother, Mabel Parks Horan, of Groton.
Brian's family wishes to invite their friends to a celebration of his life to be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London.
Donations in Brian's memory may be directed to The Landing School, 286 River Road, Arundel, ME 04046.
