I always imagined that David's path and mine would cross in the future, even though we had lost touch. To say that he brought happiness and laughter to my life is an understatement, with just a crack of that beautiful smile. He was never far from my thoughts and never will be. My heartfelt sympathies and thoughts for his family and those who love him.

David was my first roomate at Lynchburg College and we later roomed again for our senior year. I just heard the news and am completely stunned and very sad to hear that he's gone. We lost touch for many years and I wish we hadn't. RIP roomie, you are in our thoughts...

Dear Karen,
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to meet both of your sons a few years ago at your home in Connecticut. My heart aches for your loss. Many times during my day I think of you y senti mucho tristeza y dolor por tu hijo, por ti y por tu familia. No se que decirte. A veces la vida es tan dificil y tan lleno de sufrimiento que resulta totalmente imposible de comprenderla. Fuerza, Karen. Te quiero mucho. Ruego por ti y por tu familia. Just found out today and I'm utterly stunned. He was a friend like no other. I'm a better person for having known him, and poorer now for having lost him. We were just talking last month about going back to Spain in the next year. Just can't believe it. My sympathies to all who loved him.

Karen, Richard and Kris--We were so sorry to hear about David. I'm not sure if Richard or Kris will remember us, maybe your mom Karen will, when we lived across the street from you in Rocky Hill. David was a newborn then and I, Maribeth, was your babysitter. We have remained in town but not on Elm Ridge. Losing touch when you moved, we all grew older but I have never forgotten about any of you. Mom is 89 now but remembers the little blonde children and how cute they were, now they have children of their own, how nice is that. I was not able to come and see in person all grown up but I wanted you to know how sad I was about this news. My thoughts are with all of you.

Karen, Richard, Kris:
I'm at a loss - a loss of hearing about David, missing him, what to say, and how to mourn. I'm in Utah right now, driving across country to see Len, team up with his mother in SF and drive back.
I'm so sorry. That doesn't even come close. David and Len were such close friends in the Watkinson days, and afterward. Both Lenore and I also felt so close to David. It hurts, really hurts. Then to be so distant to not be able to convey our sympathies personally, seems so remote. Lenny had just looked him up on facebook. I had just cleaned our attic and found a great picture of David, Len, Lisa and Lauren. It portrays the beauty of their relationship and their stay at the school. I'm sorry. Sorry. Sorry. My heart is very heavy tonight. My thoughts for all of you. My prayers for David. J Riccio.

I am so saddened by David's passing. Many years have passed as David and I graduated from Watkinson together. I remember how silly and funny he was. He was always smiling. During those years, he was one of the most sincere people I knew. He had a wonderful spirit and a genuine soul. My heartfelt sympathy to his family.
