Dawn Gray Obituary
She was born May 9, 1959, in New London, to the late Dennis and Alma Gray Jr. She was a 1977 graduate of Montville High School and 1979 graduate of Mitchell College in New London. Dawn was employed at Electric Boat for over 30 years and UPS in Waterford for over 20 years.
Not only was Dawn a caring soul, she had an amazing sense of humor that generated numerous friends along her journey. She was a passionate Raiders fan, loved the Lakers and was an avid bowler where she won many trophies and awards throughout the years. Dawn truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with family and friends, sporting events and cooking on the grill.
She is survived by her beloved only daughter, Amanda Braffith and Chuy; sister, Karen Cook (Dale); brothers, Kenny and Wayne of Connecticut, Myke and of Glenn North Carolina, Alvin (Denise) of Georgia, and Dennis (Donna) III of Texas. In addition to her siblings, Dawn is survived by Kareema, RJ, Kantina, Jocelyne, many more nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.
For those who have had the opportunity to know Dawn, family and friends are invited for viewing at 10 a.m. June 25, 2018, at Abounding Grace Ministries, 3 Connecticut Ave., New London, with a service at 11 a.m.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dawn's passing. You always knew when she would walk into the office at COFCU where I worked and you could not help but smile when you saw her. She was a spitfire and a hard worker. I only hope knowing that her suffering is over will be of some comfort to her family and friends.

Condolences to the family, I worked with Dawn for many years on'' the boats'' at EB on second shift with a ton of other gals. Not to many of us original ones left. The shift would go by so much quicker when we worked together because we were cutting up and laughing.It was a pleasure to have worked / known her.

Oh i am so sorry to here this. Its hard to keep in touch after moving right after high school..i have great memories. She was so fun and full of live. Im sure she will be missed. Prayers for the family
