My Uncle Dennis was the most colorful character one could hope to meet. As I spent many a summer with Kay and Dennis I came to know him well. Dennis was often inviting me to go fishing. I remember spending a hot summer day with him on a boat so rickety the fumes made me ill. Dennis had me jump overboard to escape them, which of course I did. We caught many fish that day. In their home on Knothe Lane Kay and I boiled up the crabs we caught on the pilings in Clinton. Much to our suprise the crabs jumped out of the hot pot and crawled across the floor. Dennis laughed at that one for years afterwords.
Dennis lived a good and happy life, our visits with him were lively and humorous, always with a few good stories being told around the table. After a meal at our house each holiday Dennis would say "Katie, we never eat this well at home. Why is that?" Everyone would laugh. So farewell and Godspeed Uncle Dennis, we will miss you always. linda, morgan and scott
