Donald Hogue Obituary

Marietta, Ga. - Donald R. Hogue, 79, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Heritage Hospice in Marietta.

Born in Ellwood City, Pa., on March 17, 1934, he was the son of the late George Grant Hogue and Jessie Josephine (Cunningham) Hogue. Mr. Hogue was retired from General Dynamics Electric Boat Div. in Groton. He graduated in 1953 from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City and served four years in the Navy.

He was predeceased by his parents; and son, George Grant Hogue; a sister, Margaret Pelloni; and brothers, McClelland and Thomas Hogue.

He was married for 57 years to his beloved wife, Julia Elizabeth (Watrous) Hogue.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Brenda J. Schultz (Darrell) and Donald P. Hogue (Kilsun) of Marietta, Ga.; and daughter-in-law, Amy Hogue of Robbinsville, N.C. He also leaves five grandchildren, Jennifer A. Albano (Christopher), G. Grant Hogue, Donald P. Hogue Jr., Julia A. Hogue and Mattie E. Hogue. He also leaves two great-grandchildren, Alexander A. and Alaina J. Albano.

Burial will take place in Connecticut in the spring of 2014.

We will certainly miss seeing & talking to Don here on our street. He loved to talk politics whenever possible. He was a sweet man with a sweet smile & it won't be the same around here without him.
