Doris Greene

1940 - 2025

New London - Doris Greene, 84, of 9 Colver Street, died Monday April 7, 2025, in Lawrence + Memorial Hospital of a lengthy illness. Mrs. Greene was born June 3, 1940, in Georgetown, S.C. the daughter of the late Belle Pender. She is predeceased by her sister Joyce Jenkins. She is also predeceased by her daughter Perstephon Smalls; and great-grandson Kyjin Smalls. She is survived by two sisters, Judy Jenkins and Mary Susan Jenkins, both of Georgetown, S.C.

She was a member of Excelsior Temple #144 in New London. She retired from E.B and ShopRite. She supported numerous charities and foundations.

Mrs. Greene is survived by her children, Kenneth Smalls and wife Stephanie Smalls of Georgetown, S.C.; David Smalls Sr. of New London and grandchild Kareem Smalls, who she raised at the home; David Smalls Jr., Domonique Smalls and Aiesha Smalls; great-grandchildren: Kasan Smalls, Chanel-Star Smalls, Seri Smalls, Kendu Smalls, Elyse Dunkin, Landyn Parson, Titan Miller, Klover Tappin and Kez'Ington Smalls. She is also survived by special friends, MaryAnn Adams "Red" of the home and Emily Strother of New London; and a host of many special nieces and nephews and sister/friends.
