Everett Lewis Evans

1967 - 2016

North Stonington - Everett Lewis Evans, born on Sept. 26, 1967, in Anderson, S.C., died following a long hospitalization due to complications of respiratory illness on July 6, 2016.
Burial will be at a private graveside service at Old Plains Cemetery in North Stonington. A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. on Aug. 4, 2016, at the Congregational Church of North Stonington. 89 Main St., North Stonington.
Everett is survived by his parents, Richard B. and Julia A. (Jones) Evans of North Stonington; his sister, Helen C. Evans, also of North Stonington; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas William Evans and Maya Bhat, and Everett's nephew and niece, Naveen Bhat Evans and Priya Bhat Evans, all of Cary, N.C.; and a step-grandmother, Ena Evans of Colorado; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his loving housemates and caregivers at his group home in Uncasville.
He grew up loving his family and caregivers, the family pets, all kinds of music, and the out-of-doors.
Everett attended the Baraco Day Program facility in Gales Ferry for 26 years ,where he enjoyed people, special community trips and projects, and music.
