A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Lester Gee Funeral Home, 108 Blinman Street New London. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Hi my name isBarbara K. Fox, also known as Bobbi Fox. I saw on s post on Facebook that Floyd had passed away. It took my breath away. Floyd was in the DARC program at Manchester Community College and I was his adviser for 4 years and also one of his teachers. Floyd taught me soooo... much. If there is one thing I could say about Floyd it would be he never gave up!!! I have s photo of me and Floyd from his graduation from MCC. It took him a while longer but he graduated and I was very proud of him. One last thing, well two. I always loved to see what shoes he had on AND we shared a long conversation where he shared some stories about himself when he was a truck driver. He was s great story teller. I will miss him.

Floyd was a dedicated volunteer at the Hartford Recovery Community Center part of the CT Community for Addiction Recovery. His dedication to the recovery community, compassion and sense of humor will be missed by the CCAR family. Our condolence goes out to the family.
