Gary Pendleton Obituary
After proudly serving in the United States Air Force for eight years, Gary began a career with the Town of Groton Police Department. While with the Police Department, Gary was one of the founding members of the Canine Program, a member of its Dive Team and the Special Operations Group. During this career, Gary received a Canine Commendation and a Meritorious Service Award and retired as a Master Patrol Officer after serving 22 years.
When Gary was not working, you could find him hunting in a tree stand, traveling the country, playing, or watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; his brother Steve and wife Linda; his brother Ed and wife Dorothy; his son Gary and wife Alyssa; his son Erik; his niece Pam; his stepdaughter Trisha; and his five grandkids Max, Ellie, Ryelin, Colton and Kinsley; as well as many other friends and family.
Per Gary's request there will be no formal services.

'Pete' was my one-time brother in law and I loved him dearly. I was fortunate to have kept in touch with him over the years and I joined him for breakfast in August. May he rest in peace. He was a joy to be around. Former Joyce Scully Palmer
