Herman Williams
Mr. Williams, 50, of Charlotte, NC, lost his battle with cancer with his loving wife and family at his side on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 3rd, at Chappell Memorial Baptist Church, 110 Bradford Drive, Rev. Norman E. Kerry, Jr. officiating. Public viewing will be on Friday from 12 noon until 8 p.m. at Long & Son Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Born in Hamlet, NC, he was a son of the late Isaiah and Mozell Williams. Herman moved to Charlotte after graduating Hamlet High School. He was employed as a mechanic with Mitchell Distributing Company for 31 years. He spent time fishing every day after work, in rain or snow.
Survivors are his loving wife, Brendolyn H. Williams, son, Anthony Q. Williams, daughters, Andrea Washington and Pamela Washington, grandchildren, Theophilus Washington, III and Carmesha Gray, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Long & Son Mortuary Service is serving the Williams Family.

Larry used to work with Herman at Mitchell. Herman always loved Larrys fishing stories. I get to meet Herman at Copper Head Boat down at the lake he was fishing for crappies. Nobody would be catching anything except Herman he had that magic touch. When Larry would tell Herman sitting around the break table at work that Rachel out fished me Herman. Larry said Herman would always laugh about it and wouldn't let larry forget that his wife out fished him. Herman was a very sweet person and when he would come to where i worked at he would make a point to stop in an see me. And I would get to listen about his fishing and i could always get a fishing report on crappies from Herman. He will be missed and i sure he will have time to do all the fishing he wants to in heaven. God Bless Herman family and Herman will never be forgotten in mine and larry's heart. Catch a big one Herman.....

Myself and my wife Donna worked with Herman many years, we loved to talk about fishing trips. We are very sorry about Herman but he is no longer suffering and in God's hands.
