James Biggins Obituary
He was born Dec. 7, 1950, in Minerva, Ohio, the son of the late Arthur W. Biggins and Gertrude Smith. He met his beloved wife, Kathleen M. Biggins, while attending a concert and they would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on October 14th.
His working career was spent entertaining as a professional tenor saxophonist. He played both locally and internationally with many musicians. Many enduring friendships were made through his music. He enjoyed playing for charity benefits especially at Christmas time for homeless children.
In addition to his wife, Kathleen; he is survived by his sister, Pamela Devine and brother-in-law, Terry Devine and their children, Samantha and Eric; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his son, Nicholas; mother-in-law, Barbara Vitale; father-in law, Anthony Vitale; and sister-in-law, Sandra Bell.
He enjoyed life and all it had to offer, but especially his family and his friendships.
A celebration of life will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London.
