James Dunn Obituary
James grew up and lived in Ledyard most of his life where he attended and graduated from Ledyard High School.
He is survived by his brothers, Michael Dunn and his wife Lisa Lafleur Dunn, Thomas Dunn and Robert Dunn (his Irish twin); and his sister Kathy Dunn; as well as his nieces Kelly Dunn and Alicia Marsee; and his great-niece Audrey Dunn. In addition, to his much-loved aunts, uncles and cousins, he is also survived by his longtime girlfriend Sheila Ferace; as well as his cherished dog Arya and cat Fireball. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Robert Dunn and Patricia Dunn; as well as his much-loved nephew Patrick Dunn.
James was a man of great humor and he often made those around him laugh. He loved his close circle of friends and co-workers he met at his many years at Honeywell as well as those from David's Cafe in Preston. He also loved nothing more than to build and sit by a fire and listen to his favorite music. And if he couldn't spend time doing that, he was often found watching a Patriots game as he was a very longtime fan of the team.
More importantly, Jim cared about everyone around him. He wanted everyone to be happy, safe, laughing and to feel loved. Something he very obviously accomplished. He left us all too soon, but he will never be forgotten.

I knew Jim to be kind and caring. Every conversation he would include - his Love for Sheila. He was always about doing something helpful.

Though I never probably knew Jim, I've known Shelia for a long while and through her love of Jim and shared memories you can tell Jim was an amazing man. I send my heart felt condolences to everyone that loves Jim.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. Though I only knew Jim as part of the regular patons of David's Cafe back in the day, he always seemed to have a smile and a kind word for all.
