I had the pleasure of working with John when he was Director of Campus Safety and I was Dean of Students at Mitchell College. John was a true professional and a gentleman. Whatever the circumstances, he always treated students, faculty and staff with respect and dignity. He was a valued member of the campus community.

so sorry to hear of John's passing. I got to thinking about our last time together. John, Joan, Roy, Lillian, Lou, and myself. We had a 6 hour meal of food, drinks and much talk and laughter. What a great day it was to remember. That's the best way to remember all of them. And in our prayers.

We send our deepest sympathy and condolences on the loss of John.
I carry many fond memories of John and Joan ,(and all of you) ,visiting when we were younger.
I ran into John a few years ago. I was able to hear the story I had heard all my life ; he was a hero to our family and especially to me. I had always been told by my mom or Joan ,
the story of him saving my life when I was a very small child choking on a hard candy.
To hear him tell me that story gave me goosebumps , as it was the exact same , but I have never heard it from him . He was truly a lifesaver, and I was delighted that I had run into him that day.
We hope fond memories will help to sustain you in your grief.
May he Rest In Peace
Sincerely,
Sue Ellen and Tim Sullivan
