With heartfelt sympathy to the Bergeson/Main family. I remember Joyce standing right by Axel. My dad was a NL police officer and I was married to a NL police officer. When my dad retired he gave Axel his badge. Special connection their that reflected to my former husband. We all had a great time together. Through out the years I/we finally made friends with Todd who I still see. Joyce, I know your family & friends are so proud of what your accomplishments. I am proud of knowing you. Sure Axel was waiting for you at the gate. RIP together my friends! :-)

My sincere condolences to the entire Bergeson family. I was surprised and saddened by the news of your mothers passing. She was a wonderful lady and terrific mother. I was fortunate to have gotten to know her quite welll during my time at FMS. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and may your Mom rest in peace.

I was so surprised and shocked to read of Joyce's passing. I reember her and Alex so well when I worked at the Groton Town Police. Alex served the community of New London well where he was a Lieutenant in the Police Department. Joyce was a very strong supporter of the law enforcement community and a wonderful mother and wife. She will now join the love of her life in everlasting life. RIP Joyce.

Condolences to the Main/Bergeson Families. Shocking. It's like we expect our family and friends to be around forever. Met Joyce when she first worked at BK, Norwich, when I was rookie officer at NPD. Such a wonderful person. I called her asking for a job for my nephew and she obliged. She put up with him, Wild Bill. What a trip. Then I remember when husband, Axel, tragically died, think he was LT. on NLPD? Tribute her and Axel is family member became LEO at NLPD too, think a Capt.? I met him on the beat at Ocean Beach boardwalk. She has to be in Heaven now, as she earned it. My sincere sympathy on Joyce's passing. GOD bless her soul.
