On behalf of the Community Health Center, Inc. and its staff, and especially all of its nurses, I extend our deepest sympathy to Joyce's family, friends, and co-workers. Your grief is unimaginable. I did not know Joyce personally but every nurse feels her death deeply. Early in my career, I served as a public health/visiting nurse for the northeast health district just up the road in Putnam, visiting and caring for patients in their homes and the community. It is a special kind of nursing service, and I salute Joyce for all of the nursing care she provided to those in need over her long career. Ron and family, I was shocked and deeply saddened when I heard about Joyce's tragic passing. So many fond memories of what an amazing, thoughtful, compassionate, and inspiring person she was, dating all the way back to our Norwich Hospital days. You were both always such warm and kind people. Anyone who ever had the pleasure of Joyce touching their life was truly fortunate. Her legacy will live on through the impact she had on so many lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
