Julieta Alves Obituary

Toronto - Julieta Olga Fernandes Alves passed away suddenly in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on her 85th birthday.

She was born to Maria Luisa and Jose Fernandes Belo on Sept. 22, 1922 in Santa Cruz, Madeira Island, Portugal. She was the youngest of eight children.

Julieta was married to Manuel Alves of Machico, Madeira Island, Portugal, on June 11, 1943. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel, and her grandson, Jules Xavier Escorcio-Schneider of Mystic, as well as five brothers and two sisters.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lisa Leva of Toronto, Ontario, and Ana Maria Schneider and her husband, Jeffrey, of Mystic; grandson, Robert Stacy Leva and his wife, Sara Middleton-Trimm Leva; great-grandchildren, Myles Xavier Leva and Elyse Mackenzie Leva; as well as very special nieces, Amandia Labriola, Elinor Curri, and cousins Vasco Rodrigues and Augusta de Jesus.

Ana And Jeff
We were so sorry to read of the loss of your mother. My mother passed away last year and I miss her everyday. We think of you often and the kindness you extended us when we were living at Mystic River Square. Will always wonder if we are related.
Our thoughts are with you both.
