Mom,
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it and only God can tell us why. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed, still ever dear. Mom you will Always be remembered by all of us, in our own special way and I can't wait to be with you again some day…. Love You Mom,
Henry

To Justine's family, I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. I knew her when i was twelve years old, in the old branford manor in 1966. She and some of her children lived across the street from me. Seeing her pictures today, she had not changed since i last saw her 45 years ago. will be in my prayers, and so sadly missed.

When I think about my grandma I have to smile. The first thoughts that come to mind are the chocolate spider cookies, Aunt Jamimah pineapple deserts, poached eggs and burnt toast, breakfast at BeeBee's dairy, her 78 impala that required her to sit in a phone book to drive and while this might not be the most appropriate it surely makes me laugh - that t-shirt that said "I suffer from a se****** transmitted disease - children".
She's in a far better place, although its us down here that hurt, I'm quite sure she's knocking on doors in heaven - "Avon
calling....."

Josh and I sat in the airport in Orlando this morning when we heard about this tragic loss. For the past eight years he has entertained me we wonderful stories about his grandma, her bowling glory, Avon sales and sitting on a phonebook to drive! Such fun memories :-)
I see photo's of her and see where those beautiful family eyes come from - she was truly a remarkable woman and touched so many.
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone touched by this loss - but most importantly to my father-in-law Rudy and his brother and ten sisters. Few words are going to bring much comfort rite now - and thats ok, allow yourself to grieve. Remember this - your mothers passing isn't goodbye - it's merely a 'see you later, mom'. I hold that sentiment close in my own heart to get through the day to day.
With truest respect and admiration,
Josephine Fowler

Going Home
A tear rose from the earth and went to the sky. This was a big journey since it had left my eye. My eyes dried and I could see up there, that it wasn't a tear at all, but someone dear.
The face was smiling and hands were raised, as I stared longer I was amazed. On each side of the figure were wings, and they were beautiful, like nothing I had ever seen. There was aglow around the head and a glorious song could be heard and I thought, how odd! Soon it was clear there was nothing odd about a soul going home to God.
I started to shed a tear thinking of how this figure looked so peaceful and serene. It was then that I noticed it was my great aunt Justine!
Rest in peace Aunt Justine and thank you for being a lovely person to everyone you met!
Your nephew,
Paul K. Fowler

I also want to add that my grandma was THE Avon Lady of Groton. Everyone I know bought Avon from her, and she was awarded many times for her top sales. I went to some award parties with her and her peers just adored her. I remember it like it was yesterday. What I also find so fascinating about her was that despite the amount of children and grandchildren (including other generations as well), she ALWAYS remembered every birthday and anniversary. I thought my grandmother was invincible and would live forever. I am just so sad that I didn't spend enough time with her in my adult life. The time that I did spend with her, I will forever cherish. Love you Grandma!

I told Kim that I could not explain the peacful and restful sleep I had on Tuesday evening into the early morning but it was the best I had in years. Now I know it was my wonderful mom saying she was going to a better place and not to worry anymore. She was always smiling and happy although her life had been a trial and hard. I am getting older and my arthritis makes it hard to travel but I am with you in spirit.I will love you forever,Rudy

The best memories I have of my grandmother is that she loved pineapple pizza at Family Pizza in Groton, I would take her out to lunch when I was younger to Ground Round in Groton, she loved Bee Bee Dairy and would be there every morning, and her funny tshirts. Those tshirts would make me laugh! She was such a strong woman that had experienced so much. I will truly miss her. Tonya Lewis
