K. Panciera Obituary

Bradford, R.I. - K. "Kurt" Panciera, of Bradford Road, Bradford, beloved husband of Tammy (Cunnian) Panciera, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2005 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence.

Born in Westerly, R.I., he was a beloved son of John and Jannette (Brayman) Panciera, of Westerly.

Mr. Panciera was employed at Electric Boat General Dynamics of Groton for 28 years, most recently in the position of quality control inspector.

A communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Bradford, he was also an avid New England Patriots fan and a Red Sox fan. He was a union steward at E.B. for over 20 years and he was also a union finance board officer. A member of the class of 1977 at Westerly High School, he also enjoyed golfing and was very proud of his two holes in one. Most important to him, however, was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves one son, Justin Panciera, of Bradford. He also leaves two brothers and their wives, Michael J. and Josie Panciera and Paul A. and his wife, Crystal, all of Westerly; as well as two sisters and their husbands, Debra and her husband, Jim Kindelin, of Charlestown, and Penny and her husband, Tom Rice, of Madison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Church Street, Bradford, on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. There will be no procession from the funeral home to the church. Visiting hours will be held in Gaffney - Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in River Bend Cemetery.
