Kim Shafer Obituary
June 12, 2025. She was born Aug. 1, 1957 in New London, the
daughter of the late Alfred Shafer and Rosalie Longo Shafer. She is
predeceased by her sister, Linda Parker-Mower (Pat).
Kim was loved by many and known for her incredible strength, courage, kindness and her, "This too shall pass," attitude.
Kim is survived by the love of her life, Robert Ranck; and her sister and best friend Nicki Beaudry and her partner Bob Maurice. Kim is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

You all have my heartfelt condolences.
I used to work with Kim and we stayed in touch after her retirement. She was a dear and special friend. She taught me a lot.
She had such unconditional LOVE for her family and Bobby. She was kind to all that she would meet.
God does not make mistakes. He has a place for all of us and I believe that He put Kim in a very special place close to His heart.
I'm going to miss you Kim but will never forget you. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Kim and I were next door neighbors and the best of very young friends on Jennie Street in New London in the 60s and 70s. I regret that we lost touch with each other over many years and decades. She will always hold a very special place in my heart and may she rest in peace. Please accept our sincere condolences from the Jones and Sebastian families.
