Aunt Laurie was always a cheerful and giving person. She was always there for her family and friends no matter the cost to herself. She always had her unique style whether it was the movies she enjoyed to her decor. It was an extension of her personality. This made every visit warm and welcoming, like a second home. I'm truly thankful to have all the amazing memories of her while I was growing up. From our visits to Connecticut, up at camp, or later at Lake Francis. When I remember her it's all warm, loving, happy memories. She truly was an Angel amongst us.

Sweet, kind, dear Angel Laurie.... You were an angel here on earth. Your work - or "shift" here on earth is now complete. You are free to spread your angel wing to fly stress-free and without struggle and pain. Dance, sing and play amongst the flowers with the souls (both human and those with paws) up there in heaven. You are loved, admired and will never be forgotten.

Laurie, I miss you, my friend. I will never forget meeting you at Notre Dame. You were going through a rough time, and we spent many of our free periods sitting quietly in the Chapel, reflecting on life and how sometimes it really sucked. We became very close and then, they closed Notre Dame. We then wound up in separate schools, losing touch, until Sandy ran into me at my job. She invited me to your bridal shower as a surprise guest. "Laurie will be so glad to see you", she said. It was a great reunion. We were so happy. After that we reconnected for about 2 years. You and Bob, Me and Dan, and Sandy. Sandy, my closest and dearest friend for years. We became like sisters, and it was all because of you, Laurie. Thank you. Unfortunately, as life often does, we again separated when I moved to Texas in 1975 and then settled in West Haven in 1979. Once in a while, on my visits to Norwich, if you and Bob were free, we would get together, but then again, in 1986, I moved out of state and again we lost touch. My only regret is that I wasn't able to come see you one last time, to hug you and let you know how much you were loved, thought of, and missed. I was in town but was told that you were not up for visitors. I will always cherish the memories we made together, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for you, my dear friend. You are so loved and will be missed. BFF...Sue

my condolences to Laurie's family. i worked with her in the ER for many years. She was always so kind to her patients and their families. She worked her way up the ER ladder to become charge on her shift . I admired her perserverance in her goals to become a nurse. Laurie brought calm to a busy emergency room. You will be missed.
