Dear David and Family,
My memories of your family go back as far as I can remember. Aunt Lena and Uncle David were part of the thread of our family. They would arrive with Prince and stay for several days. Your dad was such a handsome, kind, gentle, man. I can still hear his voice even now. Your mom would sit at the kitchen table with us and talk about any subject at hand. She would always make us laugh and was always imparting words of wisdom.
When I think about Birch Street and my childhood I always see them as part of my family. They will always remain in my heart.

Lena will always have a special place in my heart. I lived next door to Caroline and Dave and Lena and her husband would visit at times. We all attended what was the Center Groton Baptist Church and were involved in ladies functions there. Lena was always smiling and friendly and we had many good times together. She will always be remembered for her kindness and love for her family.

I have wonderful memories of our neighbor, Mrs. Nilsson. Always kind and caring and certainly made the Donohue girls welcome in her home or backyard. To David & family, I am sorry for your loss. Mary Anne Donohue
