Lucien Frechette Obituary
He was born on Oct. 11, 1949, in Moosup, son of the late Henry Frechette Sr. and Bertha (Poudrette) Frechette. Lucien served admirably in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked arduously for General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division in Groton, for 40 years as a sheet metal mechanic. Lucien enjoyed gardening and was a member of the American Legion.
Lucien is survived by his son, Lucien Frechette Jr. of Brooklyn; daughter, Debra Frechette of Bozrah; brother, Henry Frechette Jr. of Ballouville; sister, Denise Frechette of Plainfield; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Louis and Rene Frechette.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Leffler Funeral Home, 30 North Main St., Jewett City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014, St. Mary's Church, Jewett City. Interment will be private.

When I heard the sad news, I was devastated, I worked with Louie for so many years, I got to know him well and knew what a real friend was like. He had so many good qualities.
