Maria Vollaro Obituary
Maria was born July 31, 1938, in New London, the daughter of the late Melchiorre and Jean (Oliva) Zito. She married Alexander Vollaro, June 12, 1976, at St. Mary's Church in New London; he survives her. Maria loved bingo, reading, knitting and painting.
In addition to her loving husband, Maria is survived by her brother, Charles J. Zito and his wife; and by several brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen. A calling hour will be held one hour prior, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Montville.

To the Vollaro family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Maria. We worked together many many years ago at Burlington Coat Factory. She made working so enjoyable and was like a second mom to me. We had a lot of great laughs. She will be missed! Prayers go out to the family.

A wonderful woman & friend who will be missed by so many. Whenever I would call to talk to Al her husband, she was always saying something sweet and funny to me over his shoulder that would leave us both laughing! She was truly one of a kind!
