I remember Mary Ellen as a funny, sweet friend. So generous, as was her family who welcomed me to their home when activities at St. Bernard would be later running. She was a spunky cheerleader with a winning smile. I know she is watching over her beautiful family.

I am very sorry that Mary Ellen has passed away, and on behalf of myself and all her USJ classmates, I extend my heartfelt sympathy to all of you, her family. I remember her as a lovely, vivacious, and very kind member of our Class of 1969 ~ a true Star! May she now rest in eternal peace, and may many treasured memories comfort you in the time ahead.
With sadness,

Mary Ellen was an angel. At St. Mary's School through eighth grade, she was the quintessential Catholic. We all looked up to her as a perfect role model. She was a friend to all and lots of fun. When we attended St. Bernard's, we were members of the Sodality working on social action. She was a vibrant, glowing student in every way. She was a superstar as a cheerleader, and Queen of the Prom, if I remember correctly. She was beautiful, outgoing, compassionate and very visibly popular on all fronts. I loved her spirit and considered her one of my best friends growing up.
I'm sending my condolences to Sean and Patrick who both loved her in such a special way, and to all her siblings, children and grandchildren, who benefitted greatly from her love. I will never forget you, Mary Ellen. You had a deep impact on my life and I am eternally grateful. Rest in Peace, my dear friend.

As Mary Ellen's twin brother, I had a unique and special relationship. She was protective and nurturing through my polio years at St. Mary's and St. Bernard's H.S. I look back and fondly remember my time with Mary Ellen and Sean as they began their married life together... bumping into Mary Ellen and Sean in the Blue Ridge Mountains while on their honeymoon; spending time with them in Burlington, VT while Sean was in medical school; spending time with them in Hubtington, CT and Fort Meyers,FL.
One of my most cherished memories that I have was when she grabbed my hand to dance with her at our 50tieth high school reunion.
Goodbye my lovely sister... I rest in knowing that you're receiving a well-deserved heavenly reward.
As ever, Patrick

I first met MaryEllen in the 50´s at George R´s birthday parties! That´s where I learned that twins could be a boy and a girl!
Then at St. Bs and again at St. Joseph College where she was appointed my `big sister´!
RIP, Mary Ellen... your sweet smile and caring personality lives on!

My sister Mary Ellen was the most loving human you could meet. She was loyal, kind, generous and unwavering in her love. Her family came first in all her pursuits and her love for them was steadfast and unwavering. She was my role model and will continue to be. Thank you my sweet sister for all you have taught me.
