Mary, I was saddened to hear of Mikes passing from my mom. Thinking of him brought back so many wonderful memories! ♥ To say he was a selfless and giving person who had an unparalleled work ethic would be an understatement. I know that every other former member of the Surfers Drum and Bugle Corp would agree - wed have never achieved the level of success we did without Mikes hard work, dedication and caring for all! He was truly an amazing man in many ways and one of a kind. Rest In Peace, Mike...

One thing I know to be true about my cousin Michael is his ability to give. His love for his fellow man was beyond incredible. I never understood just where he found time for himself. His love for his family & his love for friends that became family. He was a remarkable person. All those who knew him I have no doubt were touched by him in some way. He was an honorable soul. May his memory be for a blessing.

With Great Admiration,

What can you say...........he has gone to a better place (he has) we are all less for his passing (we are). On a personal level I am grateful on so many levels for having known and worked with Mike. As a senior manager Mike ALWAYS SPOKE THE TOUGH TRUTH even if it wasn't popular. Never sugar coated anything and threw down the middle fastballs every day. With that approach he was highly respected by so many and I count myself as one of his fans. That is just one dimension of a man but there were so many more. His generosity to his friends and community is legendary in both resources and time. His creativity / out of the box approach to solving issues made me at times think .....how the heck did you come up with that. The wonderful thing was when the approach was put into practice you got great results. I had the opportunity to see him in his last days in the hospital and while i know he was in dire straights his greeting to me was just like when he saw me at Millstone............not even the slightest difference. If he wasn't in bed in a hospital gown I would have said lets' go outside and get some air to talk. Thank you Mike for so many things.

So, so sorry to learn of Michael's death. High energy, tenacious, very smart in the most practical way. A really great leader, mentor, friend.

Mike's tenacity in his fight for that and those whom he considered to have a talent, idea or concept, that could benefit some aspect of both industry and/or human life was remarkable. His constant quest to look at how things worked, grew and existed, and how they might be bettered was tiring to those of us who envied his energy. I never could understand how he could put so much into work and then extend himself even further into bettering his family and communities as well as maintaining his involvement with his shipmates. If anyone deserves to rest in peace, it surely is Michael. My sincere condolences to his family and close friends. He will be missed by many.

Mike had a High School education true - but anyone who knew him understood he also had a Ph.D in:

Leaderships and Management
Education
Psychology
Parenting
Governmental Affairs
Law
Medicine

With all this knowledge and capability Mike could have been wealthy beyond imagination but this was not his mission in life. He obtained all of these degrees for one purpose and that was to help others. Mike was the most selfless man I ever knew or ever will know. Judy and I are fortunate to have been in his orbit these past 45 years as a member of the Mike Brown Family.

In thinking of our Michael I was reminded of another Michael described in the Bible - The Archangel Michael. Now, I never knew our Michael to be particularly religious and he was certainly no angel. However, the similarities between these two Michaels is undeniable. On-line at https://www.learnreligions.com/how-to-recognize-archangel-michael-124278 you can read about the Bibles Michael and if you do, you will know that our Michael will be very well received and will get a warm embrace for a job very well done, a life lived in the service of others.

Mary, Cathy and Scott - we grieve with you for your loss but feel relieved to know that Michael has been released from his suffering. In the Months and Years that lie ahead we know that, together, we all will relive and enjoy our remembrance of Michael who will be missed but never forgotten.
