Michele Dunaj Obituary
Michele grew up in Norwich and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Norwich, where she was class president. Michele graduated from UConn in 1978, with a degree in English. She worked for Bureau of Business Practice division of Simon and Schuster for over ten years as an editor. She enjoyed spending vacations in Misquamicut, R.I., and reading books.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Richard Bacci; son Michael Bacci; siblings, Michael Dunaj (Glenn Blonshine), Mark Dunaj, Sharla Sklener (Elizabeth Cardoso), Charles Sklener Jr. and Erin Couture; her niece Sara Dunaj; and nephew Justin Sklener. She was predeceased by her sister Katherine Couture.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in the Carmon Funeral Home and Family Center, 301 Country Club Road in Avon. Michele's family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to her service in the funeral home. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery in Farmington. In lieu flowers, donations in Michele's memory may be made the to Connecticut Food Bank at 2 Research Parkway, Wallingford, CT 06492.
