Monique Irene West

Waterford – Monique Irene West, age 68, of Waterford, passed away peacefully April 25, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was a beloved spouse, mother, sister, aunt and friend whose strength, perseverance and kindness touched us all.

Monique was born March 4, 1957, in Newport, VT. to Paul and Florianne Ducharme. She is preceded in death by her late husband Michael Sean West; her son Chad Edward Brailey; both her parents, Paul and Florianne Ducharme; and a brother, Richard Ducharme. She is survived by her brother James Ducharme; nephew James Cole Ducharme; her sister, Jennifer Gada (Robert); nieces, Kimberley Gada and Jessica Gada (Jack); and nephew Zachary Gada (Sabrina); and brother-in-law Dustin Durham.

Monique was a caretaker of all people in her circle. She was a hard worker for her former employers and was appreciated for her willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done. She was an outstanding single parent to her son Chad, whom she made her priority in life. She will be remembered for these things, as well as for her humor, craftiness and the deep well of love she held for her family.
