Norma Connolly Obituary

Taftville - Norma J. Connolly aka Rev. Norma Connolly, 80, of Taftville passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Backus Hospital. She was born in Norwich March 26, 1941, the daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Despres) Lussier.

Rev. Norma Connolly was ordained in Gifts of the Spirit Church in 1982. She studied and taught metaphysics, Course in Miracles, and meditation in Norwich Adult-Ed and private classes for over twenty years. She was a Healing Touch practitioner and volunteered at Backus Hospital. Norma married the love of her life, William Connolly April 28, 1962, who passed on March 22, 2009, giving them almost fifty years together.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Torres and husband Ray of North Franklin, Wayne Connolly of Griswold, Brian Connolly and his wife Kathryn of Lisbon; sister Rita Chinigo of Norwich; and granddaughter Samantha Torres of North Franklin.

Services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Guillot Funeral Home of Taftville is in charge of arrangements.
