Deepest condolences to Meg and the boys. Paul was not only a coworker and friend, he was a brother to so many people. There was never a dull moment around Paul, he lightened up the room and brought us all happiness. It didn't matter if it was in control while on watch or in the mess decks, he always made things better. Words cannot express how much you will be missed brother and how much you are loved. Rest easy Pauly and thank you so very much for being my friend, a mentor and my brother.

FTC Durocher exemplified the best qualities of a true leader. His genuine smile and positivity naturally drew people around him and we all depended on him on personal and professional level. There may be many competent leaders out there but there are very few like FTC who had a heart of gold. My condolences to his family, friends, and brothers onboard CALIFORNIA.

My utmost condolences to his family and friends.
Often times as a squadron member we are avoided and sometimes not well recieved by the crew...but FTC always went out of his way to come up for a hand shake and/or a "dab". It was unusual at first because that so rarely happens, but literally he did it every single time we came on board. Speaks volumes to the radiant positive energy of this man. It is clear he left a lasting impression on all of those he served with or knew and he was loved dearly by the crew. He will be remembered and missed dearly.

FTC Durocher was a dedicated, skilled sailor and leader on USS California. As his AWEPS, I got to see him mold his division and department every day. He set the example, and he will be sorely missed. My love and prayers to the family and shipmates he has left behind.
