Therese Hood Obituary
She was born Feb. 23, 1926, Teri raised nine children with her first husband, Francis J. Lemieux Sr. (departed Oct. 3, 1997), and worked at United Nuclear Corporation in Montville. She spent her retirement years traveling the 49 continental United States, Canada, Europe, and South Africa (mostly on the back of second husband Paul's BMW motorcycle). Teri loved to crochet and blessed many of her loved ones with gorgeous blankets and cozy clothing. Teri's easy smile and optimistic outlook on each new day will be deeply missed. We feel comforted knowing that she lived, in her words, "a full and happy life."
Teri is predeceased by her parents, Albani and Fabiola Plante; brothers, Henry and Maurice Plante; sister, Jeanette Brunelle; daughter, Estelle "Myki" (Lemieux) Gundel; and niece, Collette Martino.
Teri is survived by many beloved relatives, her husband, Paul Hood; sisters, Helene Courtemanche, Estelle and Dolores Plante; and brother, Robert Plante. In addition, she leaves her loving children, sons, Francis, Michael, David, Joseph, Stephen and Kenneth Lemieux; and daughters, Carole Hyde and Patricia Lewis. Teri is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
A Celebration of Life memorial service for Teri will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. May 19, 2013, at the William L. Mercier VFW Post 5446, Plainfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Teri's name to Hospice of Prescott, Ariz.

Dear Paul and family: We were so sorry to hear of Tante Teri's passing. We so enjoyed meeting her when you and she were in Nova Scotia. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. She was a very special lady.

Sorry to hear your Mom passed. I still remember our high school days when she signed a note for me to miss school when the President came to the USCG Academy. She lived a full life! All our best.

My deepest sympathy to all my cousins and her husband Paul. Though we have had so many miles between us, I thought of Aunt Terri often. I will always remember the times we visited her and the family at her home it CT. Good times always. She now can join her parents and brothers, Henry, Maurice and sister Jeannette in eternal peace. Until the family is reunited in God's eternal home, we will keep them all in our hearts and memories. I love you, your niece Eileen
