Vivian Lancaster Obituary
Miss Lancaster was born May 13, 1961, in New London, the daughter of Richard J. and Vivian Lewis Lancaster. She attended New London Public Schools and graduated from New London High School in 1979. She was employed by the TVCCA's Head Start Program and Kids Quest at Mohegan Sun.
Vivian is survived by two sisters, Beverly McKelvin and Doreen Lancaster both of New London; two brothers, Anthony Lancaster of New London and Brian Lancaster of Niantic; a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers; Michael W Lancaster Sr., Burt D. Lancaster, and Richard J. Lancaster III; and two sisters, Kathryn Jones and Gail Speedwell.
Funeral services are private. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St., New London is assisting the family. Please visit www.Byles.com to sign the guestbook or to share a memory.

I remember the first time that I met Princess.She was being shown an apartment here at 202.Guess you could say something click between her and I.Since that day,we became the best of friends along with my sister Ethel Whitney.
Use to sit in the lobby for hours just talking about all ours lives.You know all the stupid stuffed we all did growing up.
One thing for sure.Princess always talked about the love that she shared for her family.
She will be missed dearly.
She is at peace now.Among her mom,dad who she loved and missed with all her heart.
Our hearts are broken,but know she is at rest now with the angles.

I worked with Ms Vivian for many years at tvcca in the pearl room. She was an amazing person and I was so lucky to know her and learn so much from her. I wish the family all the love and thoughts during this time. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be deeply missed.

Vivian was a beautiful soul who loved her family more than anything. We were coworkers at an early childhood center and she is one of my favorite people I've ever worked with! She loved every kid with her whole heart and treated them as they were her own. We would always share stories about life during nap time and shed give her best mom advice to all of us. She now finds rest with the family she was heartbroken over losing and for that, Im happy. But she will be so missed by all those still here. Sending love and prayers for peace to you all and solace in knowing that shes at rest with loved ones. Love you Princess Vivian!
