Yvette Ysordia Obituary

Norwich - Yvette Chantal Ysordia died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025. She was born in Norwich, Oct. 15, 1964, one of two children to Tina Hasley Ysordia and Albert "Tito" Ysordia. She graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1982 and attended the Huntington Institute and Three Rivers College. She worked for various law firms and last worked for the City of Norwich. Yvette also worked many secondary jobs, her favorite being Trading Cove Pizza, lots of great people and memories.

She is survived by her mother Tina Ysordia; sister, Rene Ysordia; nephew, John Gilman; uncle Daniel Hasley; and cousin Cecelia Ysordia, all of whom I loved. She had a few very devoted friends and thanks them so much for all their love and support.

She was a huge animal lover, and the loves of her life where her dogs, Murphy, Lizzee, Mojo, and Winston. She was proud of her Mexican / Yaqui heritage, and thankful she made it to Mexico twice. What a feeling being on the balcony overlooking Oaxaca, doing a shot of tequila and realizing she had finally made it there on her own. Most importantly, she believed in God and appreciated all that He gave her. There is no doubt she had a good life.

Private services will be handled by Woyasz & Son Funeral Home. Donations in her memory can be made to softlandingrescue.com.

My condolences to Yvette's family and friends. We worked together for a short period and kept in touch afterwards. We shared a few laughs and peppers from the garden.

I am so saddened to hear of Yvette´s passing. We went to grammar school together and lost touch until recently. We ran into each other and she recognized me from 40 years ago. It was a blessing to reconnect with Yvette. Deepest condolences to her family and friends. She was extremely kind hearted and caring and will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.
