Time passes, memories stay. Hope, Faith, Love remain. To Armando's family, may God's love embrace you as you remember his legacy. His calling to serve and protect is very honorable. My last memories of Armando were when I saw him in Coachella and Indio dressed in his uniform, we said a few words mixed with laughter each time. Since High School until I was in my 30's Armando was the same, a great person.

Armando was one of a kind, since I knew him he walked the line, he was respected by his peers in the community, for being a role model at a young age. Even do we parted our own ways, and I did not see him for the last twenty years, I can see he planted many seeds of love, by the way his family/friends/co-workers express their gratitude for knowing him.

Armando...of all of Alma's siblings...you were the one that I wanted to meet the most. I truelly respected what you have done in your professional life and wanted to meet you for that reason. I just moved out here to the valley and meeting you was on my agenda...but it did not happen...even when I went to go see you at the hospital. I was too late. But tomorrow at your mass...although I won't be able to talk to you...will talk to you in spirit. I know how much Alma loved you...she talked about you so much!!! I know that all loved you much...

Mando,
I miss you already. I always enjoyed our early morning visits at the station. Your support and friendship was very special to me. Since the day I started at Palm Desert you treated me like a life-long friend. You were always a positive influence for me and were always willing to help out with anything that arose. Your work history and the many friends, co-workers and family you leave behind are a testament to the quality of person you were.

All my sympathy for your family. You left us all too soon. I will miss you every day. Rest, and be at peace my friend.

Mando was my supervisor for over a year. I feel honored to have known him and worked with him. Mando was a person you could count on. I remember fondly one weekend he took my children to the desert to ride his quads. They had such a good time and still talk about that day. I will always remember the P90X workouts we did together, we laughed.

Mando loved children and had a soft spot in his heart for kids. He was compassionate and caring man. I will miss him. My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends. Mando you are missed already. <3

Sarge,
In the short time I worked for you, you always pushed me to do my best. I can still hear you walking down the hallway asking me, "How many bad guys are you gonna bring in today Talavera?" I would start laughing once I turned the corner cause you accent reminded me of my pops. :) you're the man Sarge. God bless you and your family.

I recently had the privilege of having Mando as my supervisor for over a year. We shared a lot of laughs and had a lot of good times on our team....Mando was a big part of that. Those of us who had the honor of knowing him quickly learned, beneath his sometimes gruff exterior, he had a true heart of gold. If you worked for Mando, or with Mando, he would go to the wall for you...and he always had your back. In our line of work, I don't know if there is a higher compliment. I'm sorry you had to go so quickly and I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. To all of Mando's family...Thank you for sharing this time with his law enforcement family. He meant a great deal to many of us...

Thanks for everything Mando...I will miss you.
Rest in Peace Brother

Armando, there was never a time when we didn't share a laugh when we would work together. You always made a difficult job fun. You were, and will continue to be, a positive influence on your nephew, who has become a very good cop himself. You will be missed but never forgotten.
