Krystine & Matthew: I was overcome with sorrow when I heard of Bert's journey last fall. I began to pray and made attempts to reach you to no avail. I was at my tax appointment when I received word that Bert went home to be with the Lord. It was also at the same time he was being honored amongst family and friends at funeral mass. I could not continue and went home to pray for your great loss. I have loved Bert as a brother and have found him tender, kind, and caring and a man of integrity and ethics. He loved his family and his clients. I am praying at this hour for the days ahead will be difficult without Bert. I am asking God to draw close to you. I am asking God to be the strength of your hearts, and pleading His mercies on your behalf. You are loved, and it is my prayer that I would see you once again.
Love in Christ Jesus,
Kelly Abeyratne

I met Bert April 15th some 15+ years ago when I was in dire need of a tax consultant and he came to my rescue. Over the years of honest, ethical, and friendly service, we became friends, which I always referred all my friends to if they wanted their taxes done with honesty and integrity. Bert was always available for me for friendly honest advice. He will be sorely missed. This is a great loss for everyone he touched. We feel blessed to have known Bert and to have called him a friend.
We are so sorry for your Family's loss.
