Charles Weason Obituary

Charles "Bud" Weason, 78, of Palm Desert, CA passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2007. He was born on May 6, 1929 to Gertrude and Freeman Weason in Milwaukee, WI. Bud is survived by his wife, Jerie; daughters, Debbie Sweeney (fiance' Bill Bishop) of Franklin, WI and Kathy (David) Day of Shreveport, LA; and his son, Darr of Palm Desert, CA. He was grandfather to Patrick and Bryan (Jordan) Day and Robert and Michelle Sweeney. He is also survived by a sister Marion Brunn of Cudahy, WI and a brother Jack Weason (LaDonna) of Roanoke, TX. Bud was a Korean army Veteran and then began his career in printing with the W.A. Krueger Company in Milwaukee where he worked for many years. he was a West Coast sales manager for Quad Graphics from 1986 until his retirement in 1997. He was president of The Summit Homeowner's Association for four years. He was also a member of Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. The family suggests memorials be made to Odyssey Hospice, 71-777 San Jacinto Dr., Suite 102, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270 or to Palm Desert Community Presbyterian Church, music ministry.

Bud was a great friend and neighbor. He served as the President of our homeowners association for 4 years and did a superb job. We send our deepest sympathies to Jerie, Darr and family.
