Connie Woolston Obituary

Connie June Woolston, 66, of Medford, OR passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at her home. Connie was born February 9, 1942 in Long Beach, CA to parents Dee and June Hedgpeth. She married Art Woolston on November 27, 1966 who preceded her in death. Her father Dee Hedgpeth, and brother Don Hedgpeth also preceded her in death. After High School and Trade School, she worked as a hairdresser. She and Art moved to Palm Springs in 1967 when he was transferred as Air Traffic Controller to Palm Springs Airport. She continued as a hairdresser eventually opening her own Salon, "The Headquarters." After 47 years she decided to retire. Due to sudden illness, she and her mother moved to Oregon to be closer to her only surviving sister Karen. Connie enjoyed Music, Tennis, Flying and Cruising. She was a member of Desert Chapel, Los Compadres and the Tennis Club. She is survived by her mother, June Hedgpeth, and sister Karen Farris, both of Medford, OR; stepsons, Steve and Gary Woolston; stepdaughters, Donna Bailey, Peggy Hodge and Patty Garrett; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Mon., Jan. 12, 2009 at Desert Chapel, 630 Sunrise Way, Palm Springs, CA. Connie: Your giving and loving nature made a difference in so many lives, you will always be missed, but remembered by all.

We will always remember Connie as a most gracious and beautiful woman. She welcomed all of her neighbors and friends with smiles no matter how she felt. She always made everyone else feel they were important to her. She will be greatly missed, but we know we will meet her again in the future. She is greatly loved by all.
