I know there's NO WORDS to say to make this easier for you Diane, Andrew & Katie Rose. My heart aches for all of you & it hasn't been easy for alot of us. I loved David like a brother not like a ex-brother in law. For the last three decades we remember each others Birthdays. He always talked about how much he loved his kids & how much he loved you Diane. I know you have heard this over & over again. So now, I want to tell you that
Diane, you gaved David a wonderful & happy life. I'm sure anyone can vouch for that. You have so many memories to cherish. He was always smiling,no matter if you got him mad. He didn't stayed mad especially once he saw his kids. He would have that big smile back on his face. That was David for you.
Andrew mijo, when I saw you the next day for practice at LQHS for the try outs. It was like seeing your dad all over again. You have the same special talent like your dad. Your dad was an awesome baseball player. He loved working with you on baseball field and mijo he is still there with you. Remember: ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD. I'm so proud of you making the team. I just need you to watch over your mom & Katie Rose.
Katie Rose, your dad was so proud of you and loved so very much. He loved seeing his little princess dancing. Boy, he had so much loved for all of you and that's such a beautiful memory & I'm sure there's alot more memories that on one can take that away from you. You'll always have those memories in your heart.
When I saw David at the hospital the second time. I saw this this big spiritual glow on his face. I knew the Lord had filled him with so much comforted and I know the Lord even ease his pain.
Diane I found this poem that it actually sounds like something David would say. Here it goes:
To Those I Love & Those Who Loved Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears. Be happy that we had so many beautiful years.
I gave you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have
shown, But now it's time I traveled on alone.
So grieve a while for me if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on, so if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near. All my love around you soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say,
"Welcome Home"
David, I could never say good-bye, only that I will see you again. You would be deeply missed but "NEVER FORGOTTEN" (ICUNHVN)

David, it's taken me a while to write this. But you have the original one with you & take care of my Pete Rose Bobble head, I will never forget the biggest smile on your face when you saw it. Hold on tight to the baseball Drew gave you. Oh by the way, "He made team" but I'm sure you knew that already. And we left the "nail polish" on your toes, that KT Rose put on you. That in itself shows what a wonderful example of a proud dad who has unconditional love for his family.
Thank you for being 1 of the 3 brothers. None of my sisters could of found better husbands, and bless us with 4 wonderful kids and soon a 5th, (a GIRL).
Thank you for loving my sister and being the best husband, father, & brother.
I miss u, love you, and know you are watching over all of us. I know we are blessed to have the Arias family in our lives. I promise to do as you asked.

It seems to have taken a week for me to be able to see through the tears enough to express the sorrow we feel over David's passing. There are so many broken hearts, so many people to thank for being there during David's illness and so many days ahead for us all to raly around Diane, Andrew and Katie Rose. I attended school with David and kept stats for the high school baseball team. I can tell you that as a man of God, a husband, brother, father and friend David hit a homerun. He will be missed forever.

I pray that God will bless you, your children and all of the other tight-knit Arias family members as you must go thru this very, very hard time in your lives. I was introduced to David by his brother Gabe and we did not initially meet in-person, but we communicated via telephone and email for several years. Our connection was that I was also a manager for a school district [I retired earlier this year from SDUSD] and we had some really great discussions about school district “stuff” from time to time. We did though finally get to meet and I also met you also briefly last summer at your nephew Tony’s wedding. It was such a pleasure to finally get to meet David in-person that day. When we ended our conversation we agreed that we would try to keep in touch. When Gabe called to tell me that he had lost his younger brother David I was crushed and I prayed afterwards. I know that today is the day that you are laying David to rest and I wanted you to know that there is yet someone else who’s life David impacted in a very positive way. I know the Lord will protect you and you children from this point on, but I will continue to just pray for you because I know he will hear my prayers for you as well.

Diane, Andrew and Katie. First, I would like you to know that David treasured and loved the three of you very much. There was never a visit or even a meeting that passed in which David didn't talk about you three. Whether it was business or pleasure, our conversations always began with our families and their well-being. From Andrew and baseball to Katie and dance to Diane that stuck by his side no matter what. David was so grateful for the three of you. I was blessed and fortunate to be with David before his passing. During our visit David was undeniably serene and spritual. He told me that he felt closer to God than ever and couldn't quite explain, but I could see and feel his spiritual awakening. The Lord filled the room with comfort. He explained to me that he was going home in a day or two and that everything was getting better. I now know what home he was speaking of. David went in peace and with God. He will always be with his family and friends. This I truly believe. We all are truly blessed to have David in our lives. Until my turn has come, my friend, I will truly miss you. I cannot express hurt I feel after hearing of David's passing. He was family and it kills me that I can't be there to celebrate the wonderful life he had. I wish my family all the love and support that I can send. To Andrew and Katie Rose, although I'm so far away, you are always on my mind and I want you to know you can talk to me anytime. You lost a wonderful father but I know that he raised amazing kids who will carry on his love, big heart, and laughter for years to come. I love you all.
To David: You were such a wonderful man. Diane: Words cannot express the loss that we all have suffered. Since the first day I met you guys, I knew how much you guys loved each other and your children. David leaves a huge legacy on how we should live. Even though his life was so short he taught us to live every day to the fullest. To love our family and not sweat the small stuff.
