Edward Embry Obituary

Edward Bee Embry, 75, of Cathedral City, CA passed away December 4, 2007 in Rancho Mirage of leukemia. He was born December 23, 1931 to Pirtle Embry and Bennie Wallace in Richland, KY. He married Beverly Bird on March 26, 1955 in Las Vegas, NV. He was Journeyman Plumber for 53 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1959 as a Engineman D. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Embry of Cathedral City; daughters, Janet Carstens of Hutchinson, KS, Connie Carstens of Kingman, AZ, Sandra Friend of Cerritos, CA and Brenda Tisue of Rancho Mirage, CA; son Edward Embry, Jr., of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Patricia Embry of Madisonville, KY and Kathleen Dortch of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Kenneth Embry of Madisonville, KY, Roy Embry of El Segundo, CA and Wallace Embry of Fountain Valley, CA; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on December 7, 2007 in the Ramon Room at Forest Lawn Cathedral City. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on December 8, 2007 in the Ramon Chapel at Forest Lawn Cathedral City with interment to follow at Desert Memorial Park. The family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Forest Lawn Cathedral City is in charge of arrangements.
