Elsie Sloth Hooper

Indio - Elsie Sloth Hooper passed away October 4, 2019 peacefully at her home in Indio California after a brief illness.

Elsie was the loving wife of Robert "Bob" Hooper. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary August 26, 2019. Elsie was born in the City of Orange, New Jersey on September 11, 1926. She was the daughter of George and Mette (Rasmussen) Sloth.

Elsie owned and operated Travel-On, Inc. in Little Falls, New Jersey for 18 years. She was also a National Director-at-Large for The American Society of Travel Agents. Elsie was in Who's Who for American Women in 1981/1982. Travel was one of her passions.

In addition to her husband, Elsie is survived by son Robert Hooper and his wife Stella of Bartonsville Pa; William Hooper of Indio California, daughter Barbara, wife of James Fitzpatrick of Tucson, Arizona; daughter Elizabeth, wife of James Booterbaugh of Blakeslee, Pa and son Bruce and his wife, Rita, of Mission Viejo, Calif. In addition, Elsie is survived by five grandchildren: Jessica, Kelly, Michael, Robert and Brianna and daughter-in-law, Linda Roberts. Elsie was predeceased by her brother George Sloth.

A Memorial of Life Celebration will be held at a future date at the confidence of the family. Cremation was handled by Simplicity Funeral Home.
