Harold Vargas Obituary
Harold John Vargas, 68, of Cathedral City, entered heaven on September 2, 2016 in Palm Desert, Ca.
Harold was born on December 25, 1947 in Indio, Ca to Joe and Jennie Vargas. He graduated from Indio High School where he played Varsity in Football, Baseball and Wrestling. He was a lifelong area resident of the Riverside County. He worked as a cement finisher and security officer which he retired from in 2012.
He is survived by his Daughter, Melissa Vargas-Martinez and Son, Brian Vargas; grandchildren, Erika, Kristen, Christopher, C.J. and Brianna; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Emilio, Olivia and Victor; Sisters, Debbie Vargas-Bottroff and Virginia Rivas; Brothers, Jody Vargas, Richard Vargas and Ronnie Vargas. Also, he is survived by his cat "Pumpkin".
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Vargas.
His sense of humor was unique, his love of animals was abundant and he always enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
He never gave up and was diligent during his life journey. He wanted everyone to know his love for the lord and he was the lighthouse to as many people as he could shine upon.
Harold's Celebration of Life will be held at on 3pm, Saturday, October 8, at The Salvation Army Corp, 30-400 Landau Blvd, Cathedral City. Family and friends are welcome. Additional gathering will follow the service in the fellowship hall.

My condolences to the Vargas Family. We are so sorry for the passing of Harold. He was a big brother in the old neighborhood. One nite i had nowhere to go, Harold took me to a H.S. football game, i was 12yrs. old. i never forget that. May God give you comfort during these times.
