Herb was a member of the "Greatest Generation" and that should never be forgotten. I remember Herb from his days as the Stockton store manager. What a fun guy.

Herb is and was a generous and wonderful man. He greatly helped me grow up in the Mervyns organization. I shall ever be appreciative of his direction and his help. Even though we've lost track of one another over the years I have thought of him and of Cynthia whenever I've met with other people from Mervyns. My prayers go out to Cynthia.

I do have very fond memories of Herb. I worked at Macys during his time there. He was always very enjoyable and well liked. Herb will always be remember as just that. Bob Livesay, Benicia.
