I took care of Karla in her last 10 months. She made me feel as if I was family, so always said I was like the daughter she never had. We would spend hours everyday in her garden. I miss her very much. We love you Miss Karla!!! Vanessa

I worked for Karla and Herman for 7 years. AT KARLAS, in the PALMS Springs MALL. She and Herman were our attendents when I and Ed Jolly were married. We had some great times together. She will be missed. But I have all those memories. See you Karla, Love Ellie.

As her nephew living in Germany I did not had the chance to see Karla so often in recent years. However, me and my wife were always impressed about her strength and power when we met her during our vacations in the US. Even after a tough live, full of work and also some hard times, she took care for – as she said – the “old people” in her neighbourhood. Knowing that she herself was almost in her 80st at that time this was truly remarkable. Karla was a very special person and we will certainly miss you “little lady”.

Karla left a great legacy. She was a strong and intelligent woman. We had the privilege of knowing her at the restaurant. We will remember the special moments we shared with her. She will be missed. Joel and Cynthia Arnold
