Marianne was a sorority sister of mine at Whitman College and I am so sad to hear of her death. What a full and happy life she had lived.

Dear Fred: I saw the obit in the Desert Sun and thought, "I knew a Marianne Boncutter in Issaquah HS"...and again thought, with no mention of Issaquah in the item, it couldn't be the same classmate. I still have a lot of friends in the Seattle area and today I was talking to a friend from school who mentioned Marianne's passing. It was the same Marianne! I remember Marianne as a beautiful, popular, lively and funny girl and the carefree days we had in our teens growing up there. I have lived in Sun City Shadow HIlls for the last ten years and didn't know she was in the desert...Alas, I would have loved to see her again. The last time I saw her was at a reunion
years ago when we had combined several classes, (I was a senior when she was in junior year.)As you may remember, it was a small school and we were all like a family and knew everyone's brothers and sisters.
It's always sad to hear about her death, but know that she had a wonderful life all these years with you. I just wanted to offer you my condolences in your grief. Darlene (Soper) Turner, Indio

Dear Fred and family. I write this with a heavy heart and fond memories of Marianne. You all were great to grow up with as next door neighbors at Roanoke park. Mariannes bounless energy was always so much fun. She was a good friend to mom, and perhaps they are chatting it up as I write this. She will be missed by many I am sure. Be well Lorenz family and peace to you Marianne. From Stephen "Poncho" Jenkins

Dear Fred, David, Jennifer and the rest of Marianne's family,
We will miss Marianne very, very much. She and you all have been a part of our lives "in the alley" behind 10th for as long as we can remember. I loved babysitting at your home, my brothers loved playing there and our Mom thoroughly enjoyed walking and talking with Marianne.
With the next generation, and our son Dylan, you continued to show kindness and support letting him "take care of your house and the cat" when you headed south.
We shall miss Fred and Marianne walking down the alley past our open garage and back yard - saying hello to us on their walk across the bridge. We shall miss her smile and her unique laugh and her positive spirit in our changing neighborhood.
The great thing is that she and Mom get to walk together again. Peace and prayers to you all.
With affection,
Debby Walters and Dan & Dylan Patterson

I have many memories of desert Thanksgiving with the Dorado villas gang. Marianne made the best sweet potatoes! I enjoyed the way she engaged life and those around her. She will be missed but remembered often and fondly.
My best to you Fred during this time of profound loss.

I was so sorry to hear of Marianne's passing. She was a wonderful presence in my earlier years. When I was in my 20s and had moved away, mom said that when she and Mare would walk Greenlake they would look for cute guys for me. I just loved that : ) Love to you all and rest peacefully Marianne.
