Mark Arrowood Obituary

Mark S. Arrowood passed away July 29, 2010 at 2:10 AM. He was born on October 3, 1956, after a life long battle with diabetes; he had recently been diagnosed with kidney failure and heart complications. Mark was Director of International Programs at SAS, Raytheon. He spent 33 years with Raytheon in El Segundo orchestrating their relationships and business around the globe. Though he loved his job he was looking forward to a happy retirement in La Quinta, Calif. where he had purchased a home in preparation. He will be sorely missed by his colleagues and especially by his family who treasured his unique sense of humor, special caring and loving guidance. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Vicki Arrowood; his mother, Margie Arrowood; two brothers, Steve and Dan Arrowood; son and daughter, Tracy Nieto and Kim West; three grandchildren, Alesha, Krista, and Kory; and great grandson, Gavin Gillespie. The service will be held Friday, August 6, 2010, from 3-6:00 PM at the Westin Hotel, LAX, Grand Ballroom D, 5400 West Century Blvd., 310-216-5858. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Mark Arrowood's name to be made to the American Diabetes Association via on-line at www.diabetes.org or by mail to: American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honor Program, In honor of Mark Arrowood, P.O.
