When in the company of Marshall, both men and women knew they were in the company of a gentleman. He valued his Jewish faith but importantly he literally embraced all humanity with an ecumenical fervor that made all he contacted become better people.
Marshall leaves behind his beloved mother, Bess, his cousin, Martin Bunnin and wife Kathleen, many nephews, nieces, dear friends and classmates scattered across the United States.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marshall's memory to Na'Amat Scholarship. Contact Nancy Stuart at Downey Savings in Palm Springs, CA.
Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 am with Services to follow on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Ramon Chapel at Forest Lawn Cathedral City.
Forest Lawn Mortuary is handling the arrangements.

I haven't seen Marshall for many years. He was my cousin on my father's side, Nathan Levenson of Duluth. I enjoyed my visits to Jack and Bess when I was in the Navy and visited them in Long Beach. Through a mutual friend, I had heard he was in Duluth this past summer and had asked about me. I am sorry we didn't get to talk to each other. Condolences to Bess.

To Mrs. Levinson and the Friends and Family. Marsh was such a sweety, from our days at Washington Jr., in Miss Anderson's homeroom. He has left us with a diminished world. He and Pete Patronas helped me learn what a nice guy was like, My sympathies to all.

Marsh was my first husband's GOOD friend. I had heard many stories about their exploits through the years.
My sympathies go out to his family and friends.
I somehow know that he and Peter have teamed-up again.

With Marsh's passing, I lost a precious friend of over 50 years. Besides being a truly gifted athlete, Marsh was kind, loyal and humble. Whenever I visited the LA area where Marshall lived for many years, he would never fail to take time off work to meet for lunch or dinner. I will miss his ready smile, his easy going manner and the many discussions we had about "the good old days."

Marsh was ahead of the pack in so many ways. Even his voice changed first. His athleticism was a gift he was able to share in sport as both team member and as the individual star. When in the company of Marsh, both men and lady friends knew they were in the company of a gentleman.
Marsh valued his particular Faith. But importantly, he literally embraced all humanity with an ecumenical fervor that made all he contacted become better people.
Recently he was proud to provide leadership to the causes of the association community he lived with. He also made a pilgrimage to his home town Duluth, Minnesota. It was there his health most recently failed him and he said how glad he was to be among friends from his youth.
Today, in Cathedral City, California friends will meet and pay last respects. All who attend will be a comfort to Bess, Marsh’s mother and to those who supported Marsh in his final days with us. Each will contribute stories of the times enjoyed together creating a collage of lasting memories of this fine man.
Marsh spoke often that his goal in 2007 was to be with his Duluth Central classmates at their 50th high school reunion. Those attending in August will be comforted to know that Marsh will attend in spirit and it will be those classmates who again benefit by his presence.

Marsh lived in my neigborhood for a short time. We played together for a short time in early elementary school (Jackson). He moved. I again came across him at Washington and at Central High. Marsh was a great guy. His talents never got in the way of his friendliness. He will be missed.

I've known Marshall for 63 years. We shared birthdays in February. We were classmates and teammates from grade school to college. We were inseperable, like brothers. Marshall was in our wedding party. 43 years ago. We will always miss you Marsh and love you. Wait for me at the finish line. Condolences to your dear Mother Bess, your family and all your friends.

I knew Marsh from elementary school days. He was a splendid athlete, wonderful teammate, and friend. I will always remember fondly our championship teams and his very important role in all of those. Our 50th high school class reunion next summer will have a major void without his presence. My deepest condolences to his mother, relatives and his many close friends. Michael Fedo
