Patrick Brock Obituary

Patrick Kade Brock

La Quinta - Patrick "Kade" Brock, a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, and friend passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at the age of 23 in La Quinta, California. Kade was welcomed into this world on August 6, 1997, by his parents Jeffrey and Leeanne (Smith) Brock and sister Kaelyn Storm in Rancho Mirage, California.

Kade attended both La Quinta High School and Palm Desert High School (Class of 2016). Growing up in the valley, Kade excelled in many sports including: baseball, football, wrestling, soccer, water polo, and golf; he was a natural athlete. With a passion for nature and wildlife, Kade found his niche studying forestry at Chico State University. Kade was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending any chance he could outdoors with his beloved dog Sugar.

Kade had an infectious smile and personality, was quick to help a friend or neighbor and always saw the good in people. His sense of humor and quick wit will be greatly missed.

Kade was preceded in death by his grandfather's Gerald Patrick Smith and Stephen W. Brock. He is survived by his parents and sister, his grandmother's Marlene Brock and Linda Smith, his girlfriend Kaylynn Wise, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (rmef.org) or Catch-A-Dream Foundation (catchadream.org)

To a true trailblazer, friend of all, and mentor to me as a younger man. Brother Kade, I can't believe it. It hurt me so bad to know you passed. The memories we formed together in our younger years will be cherished and remembered by me forevermore. You are and will forever be a stand up guy. You are the kind of person to answer the call of duty when you saw a friend in need, and were overall exceptional in your crafts. You were never absent, and treated me with a level of respect that was incredible. You are truly a great person, and I can't wait till we meet again. I hope you and Will are living it up wherever you may be.

With eternal, brotherly love,
JE
