Warren Arthur Schmidt

1921 - 2013

Warren Arthur Schmidt was born February 27, 1921 in Charlo, Montana. He started school in Charlo, attending about one year when his family moved back to Spokane, Washington where he graduated from North Central High School in 1939. He then attended Washington State College. Warren has one son, Gregory Warren Schmidt, and four grandchildren, one sister, Shirley M. Casey and several nieces and nephews. Warren was commissioned an Ensign in the Merchant Marines. He traveled the world delivering supplies during WWII. Warren lived in Los Angeles where he was a cattle buyer for Atlas Packing Co. Warren and his long term companion, Nancy R. Whitlock, have resided in Palm Springs since 1983. Warren was very supportive of Nancy's charitable work for the non profit community.
