July 28, 1972 - June 23, 2019
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." –
John 11:25
Aaron D. Mueller, 46, unexpectedly, but peacefully, walked into the arms of his Lord on June 23, 2019 while on vacation in Bastrop, TX with most of his favorite people on Earth, his wife & children, his parents and his sister's family.
Aaron was born on July 28, 1972 to Dale and Eleanor Mueller in St. Paul, Minnesota but they soon relocated to College Station, TX. Aaron was diagnosed at birth with Transposition of the Great Vessels. Just before he turned 2, Dr. Denton Cooley performed the Mustard procedure on Aaron at Texas Children's Hospital making him a "Mustard Baby". At the time of his death, Aaron was one of the oldest survivors of the Mustard procedure.
Aaron went on to graduate from A&M Consolidated High School in 1991, then Sam Houston State University in May 1996 with a B.A. degree in Radio, TV and Film. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Kristi Klier on June 15, 1996. After spending time in Louisiana and North Carolina, they settled back in College Station in 2002.
A loving, devoted family man, with a dry sense of humor, Aaron enjoyed the simpler things in life… spending time with family and friends, nights out dancing with Kristi, a rousing game of cards or dice, hunting in Fredericksburg, watching Aggie football, and grilling or smoking meat for his family. Aaron was also an active member of Christ United Methodist Church where he was a part of Alpha and the Empty Nesters Small Group.
In addition to his wife and parents, Aaron is survived by his daughter Megan and son Matthew; his sister Christina Kriepe and husband Mark; mother-in-law Donna Kleinert; stepmother-in-law Rita Klier; brother-in-law Korey Klier and wife Amanda; stepsiblings-in-law Brian German, Hillary Yeomans and Keith Kleinert; four nephews, three nieces and numerous extended family members and friends.
Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jack & Annie Ruth Allen; his paternal grandparents Roman & Florence Mueller, his father-in-law Ralph Klier; and stepfather-in-law Joe Kleinert.
A memorial service for Aaron will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11 am at Christ United Methodist Church in College Station. A fellowship reception will be held immediately following the service at the church for friends to gather, visit with Aaron's family and celebrate Aaron's life.
