Amanda Walkoviak, 48, of College Station, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. A visitation will be held from 5-8 pm, on Wednesday, September 1, at Hillier of COLLEGE STATION. A Life Celebration will begin at 11 am, on Thursday, September 2, at Skybreak Church. Graveside services will follow at Memorial Cemetery of College Station, with a reception following at the funeral home.

Amanda was born on April 18, 1973, in Brenham, Texas. As a child, Amanda was very active and adventurous. She enjoyed going skating and playing kickball and softball outside with her siblings. Amanda spent her childhood growing up in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1991.

After graduating and stepping into adulthood, Amanda started her career. She worked for the Navasota Walmart for many years, and most recently began working for a property management company as the Director of HOA/ Property Management Maintenance. Amanda loved her job with the HOA and cared about the people she worked with. She would oftentimes describe it as the best job she ever had.

In Amanda's free time, she enjoyed many hobbies. Some of her favorites were playing board games, watching movies, playing bingo, and buying lottery tickets. She also really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and taking care of her dogs.

Amanda was a collector of many things. Some of her most notable collections include baseball cards, Pokémon cards, Merry Moos, and Crystal.

The most important thing in Amanda's life was her relationship with God. She was a woman of great faith and was very active at her church, Skybreak. She faithfully followed the Lord and had a passion for spreading the love of Jesus with everyone she encountered. Attending church was not just a casual activity Amanda did every week. She looked forward to gathering in fellowship and would even count down the days until Sunday! Gathering with fellow believers, listening to encouraging sermons, and worshipping the Lord truly fed Amanda's soul and gave her fulfilment in life.

Although life threw many challenges Amanda's way she never gave up hope or let the difficulties steal her joy. She was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer but overcame her diagnosis. She proudly beat cancer and has given back ever since through serving with the Relay for Life American Cancer Society.

Amanda had a heart of gold. She was cheerful, thoughtful, and her smile was infectious. Her joy and bubbly personality could warm your heart and brighten even the darkest of days. Amanda was incredibly caring and loved with all of her heart and soul. She taught her family and friends what it looked like to truly love and serve one another. Amanda will be sincerely missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Amanda is survived by her fiancé, Todd Jett; mother, Irene Landriault; siblings, Alberta Terry, Allison Matthieu and husband Jeremy Matthieu, Amy Marshall, Ashley Marshall, Angela Knuckles and husband Kevin Knuckles, Georgia Miller and husband Ron Miller, Lee Marshall and wife Karma Marshall; and nieces and nephews, Steven Munoz and wife Shanda Munoz, Lauren Miller, Jonathan Marshall, Guillermo Rosales, Nathan Miller, Phillip Perez, Christopher Marshall, Katelyn Matthieu, Nicolas Perez, Caitlyn Marshall, Chase Casimiro, Anthony Montilva, Kevin Montilva, Alfred Marshall, Joshua Marshall, and Amethyst Marshall; great-nephews, Caleb Marshall and Elijah Marshall; great-nieces, Bella Rosales and Gracelyn Munoz; and many aunts and cousins. Amanda is reunited in heaven with her father, Leonard Landriault; brother, Brent Landriault; grandparents, Juanita and Ralph Rodriguez; aunt, Janie Roberts; uncles, Bill Roberts, Larry Moreno, Wally Coronado Jr., David Brown Sr.; and cousins, Jessica Brown and Renee Beaudet.
